Shadow Warrior (2013)
Shadow Warrior 2013 is a reboot of the 1997 game with the same name. The game is an action-packed adventure that takes place in the modern-day, but is firmly connected to old Asian mythology. The protagonist, Lo Wang, is a hired assassin on a quest to buy a very ancient katana with powers to kill immortals. However, when he arrives at the place of the deal, demons attack and slay everything in their path. Lo Wang decides to cooperate with the demons to bound three swords into one, making the ancient katana a real and unstoppable force.
The Shadow Realm is filled with famous Asian demons that play key parts in the plot. Defeating hordes of demons is quite fun as there are plenty of ways to do so. Wang can shoot his enemies with a variety of weapons including pistols, submachine guns, or even rocket launchers, some of which can be dual-wielded. The game's controls and patterns create unique attacks, making killing enemies a very fun occupation. Overall, Shadow Warrior 2013 is a great game that is sure to provide hours of entertainment.
